Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, tax exempt organization responsible for the production and promotion of four major cycling events:
El Tour de Tucson, El Tour de Phoenix, Tour of the Tucson Mountains
and Cochise County Cycling Classic. Other Perimeter Bicycling events include: an annual Bicycle Expo, Health, Education & Safety Conference, El Tour Golf Classic, El Tour Fun Run and Kids Fun Rides for Tour of the Tucson Mountains and El Tour de Tucson.

Each of Perimeter Bicycling's events raises funds for non-profit charitable agencies. Since 1983, Perimeter Bicycling has helped raise over 14 million dollars for local and national charitable organizations.

Perimeter Bicycling publishes Tail Winds, a bi-monthly newspaper, and the annual Perimeter Bicycling Journal. Perimeter Bicycling is also a membership organization that sanctions world records in perimeter cycling and records perimeter accomplishments of its members. All records and accomplishments are updated on an annual basis in the Perimeter Bicycling Journal.

In addition to fund-raising through its events, Perimeter Bicycling has established four premier funds where businesses and individuals may make contributions:

The Handcycle Scholarship Fund purchases handcycles for physically-challenged individuals who want to improve their quality of life through handcycling. Each year handcycles are presented to individuals at El Tour de Tucson’s Grand Cycling Awards Ceremony.

The Handcycle Physically-Challenged Athlete's Fund sends handcyclists to national and international competitions and develops handcycling programs for physically-challenged youths and adults.

The Brad P. Gorman Memorial Fund helps with projects that make our streets safer including establishing bike trails and educating motorists and cyclists alike on sharing our roads.

The Perimeter Bicycling Fund helps ensure the continuance of Perimeter Bicycling, its cycling events and associated projects, especially El Tour de Tucson. Contributions to the Perimeter Fund will go to the continued promotion of all four cycling events which help raise funds for other worthy non-profit agencies, and the on-going education and advocacy efforts that promote safe cycling and a healthy lifestyle.

Contributions can be made to any one of these funds by sending a check to Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, specifying your choice of fund. All donations are tax-deductible.

Perimeter Bicycling’s flagship event, El Tour de Tucson, is held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving and attracts thousands of cyclists from all around the world. Southwest Airlines in-flight magazine, Spirit, June 2001, declared El Tour de Tucson "one of the premier organized rides in United States," and the October 2002 issue of Bicycling Magazine ranked El Tour as “One of the Top Three Fundraising Rides” in the country.
