On Sunday, September 17, 2006, First Magnus El Tour de Tucson will be
hosting the 9th annual Diamond Ventures El Tour 10K & 5K Run
and/or Walk. The event, which begins at 6:30am, is limited to 600 runners/walkers
and is estimated to raise between $3000-$5000 for Tu Nidito Children and Family
Services, a Tucson based non-profit organization "helping children
and their families deal with serious illness and loss."
El Tour Run will take place within the Continental Reserve neighborhood,
beginning and ending at Continental Reserve Park, at the corner of Continental
Reserve Loop & Silverbell Road. Participants will be routed along
Continental Reserve Loop Road, Pima Reserve Road, Wade Road, Silverbell
and back to the park on Continental Reserve Road. The route has been approved
by the Town of Marana and will be staffed by the Marana Police Department

Packet Pick-up for registered participants will be on September 15-16
from 10am - 6pm at El Tour Run office, located at 2609 E Broadway Blvd,
between Tucson Blvd & Country Club, in Tucson. Participants will be
issued a bib number, timing chip and given their packet and t-shirt, if
one was ordered.
